Hand Piecing
#11
On one 100-block king-sized quilt, I had a repeat of 8 curved points all meeting in the same spot, for a total of hundreds of those stinking points within the quilt. I just could not get them to cooperate at the sewing machine. I think I got less than half of them done by machine and had to stitch the rest of the points by hand. I loathed it! I got them all done ... I'm too stubborn to quit, but it was sure no fun. I did a few point "repairs" each day and it seemed like I'd never get finished. There must be a way it can be done by machine, without tearing all my hair out by the roots in frustration, but I don't know what the magic answer is.

If I hand pieced I would never get anything done. I used to hand quilt however as I get older (darn) my hands don't want to co-operate so therefore I machine quilt just about everything now. Makes things go faster and I can give a lot more gifts away.
