I hand quilt and I machine quilt. It just depends on the project-who it's for and how it will be used. All of my charity quilts and the kid quilts are machine quilted. I enjoy the relaxation of hand quilting, though.

I hand quilted one quilt. I knew that it's someting I didn't enjoy but forced myself to finish it. As hand quilting has always been done in my family I had to give it a try. I tried machine quilting on my DSM. Then I bought a Tin Lizzie, for me it's the only way I enjoy quilting.

Thanks sewmerry....I have two daughters and made everything from their layettes to their wedding gowns and lots for grandchildren and now greats. BUT this quilting is proving to be much different than any of that. I can't wait to get the top done so I can get to the hand quilting. I'm sure that is going to be another learning curve

I do both hand quilting and machine quilting depending on the project. I just finished one hand quilted one and just have to put the border on it. I am almost done with another hand quilt and was just thinking I should be working on gettting my next one set up.
