    I use Gutterman's thread. I don't like Coats and Clark because it strips the outside layer off and has clumps.

    Well, I'm in a different club. I don't hand quilt but use HQ thread to finish sewing my binding. I can pull a longer length cuz I hate to thread needles.

    I have done so as well, when it is closest to the color I need.

    I used to hand quilt exclusively and used C & C but I'm going to try some new ones. I've been wanting to hand quilt something. Thanks to all for the suggestions of other threads.
    I got something called Thread Magic that works well for making the thread not act up.
