I'm doing some Hawaiian Quilting for the TV program and wondered if I still should use bees wax on the thread. For the past 30 years I've been doing machine piecing and quilting but am doing a TV segment on Hawaiian quilting next week and trying to finish some examples.
Thanks,
Lady Elisabeth

I only use it if I'm having trouble with the thread. I used metallic thread, so I used beeswax or Thread Heaven because the thread shredded so bad.
If you use thread heaven, be sure not to get it on your fingers - it's really hard to pull a loaded needle through because it slips right through your fingers.![Frown](https://cdn.quiltingboard.com/images/smilies/frown.png)
