Thank you, lacelady and sewjoyce. I just realized I was not starting in the center and working out. I started right off at the edge and went across. I'm going to re-do the sandwich tonight and try again. All of this has helped me a lot. I'm going to get this done!!! :)

OMW!!! I can't believe how much better the hand quilting is going after taking advice from several of you!!! I don't feel the big puckers any more, and since it's straight stitches (in the ditch), it's going really quickly! I'm still testing out all the thimbles. Seem to use my metal one the most. The one with the open face almost gave me a blister so stopped using it. Did some adjusting and will try it again soon. Again, thank you all so much for the tips!! I'm really happy this is going better!

I know you are going to nail thisd...I like your attitude. I 'lap quilt too'. I like the way it flexes. I use a LOT OF PINS and no spray cause i have breathing problems and the stuff is toxic...they also have those little plastic tags to shoot in :D

I will send pics as soon as I'm finished. I'm using a varigated green thread so it's almost invisible. I just finished making my Square Magic squares for class next Sat. and now I'm going to go relax and quilt! Thanks again all of you for the helpful hints!!
