    I keep my fabrics in a stack of 4 old attorneys cabinets, the kind where the doors lift up and slide in at the top. There is about half an inch between the top of the door and the top of the cabinet, so when I don't need my cutting board and bigger rulers, I can just slide them into that slot. They are well supported on that flat surface, and easy to put in and take out!

    However, I don't know that it would be harmful to hang them or why would they make them with that hanging slot?

    I don't hang my mats because I am afraid they will bow. Instead, I put them flat under my bed
