Hanging cutting mat

Hanging cutting mat
I bought a new cutting mat, I think 24" x 36 " and didn't think to make sure it fit flat where I kept my old, and smaller mat. Well, it's an inch too big, so I was wondering if hanging it would be a way to store it, without it warping?
It has a hole on one end, like it's meant to be hung, is 10 ft away from a heat vent, and is never in direct sunlight.
It's an Omnigrid, green on one side and gray on the other and it says that both sides can be used

i use two dressers back to back for a cutting table. i have three different sized mats. i hang the three mats on the side of the dressers. i drilled holes in the mats for even support across the width. then i put finishing nails in the end of the dressers at the locations of the holes. works great... no warping or anything with the mats.

I have that size cutting mat and use a pant hanger on one end of it. Haha.... I just did a search and see my comments back in 2012..... BUT.... my mat is not warped so not sure what I'm doing different now than I was then! http://www.quiltingboard.com/main-f1...e-t182122.html
