Happy Birthday to me !!!
#32
I am probbaly posting this in the wrong area but I'm just sooooooo excited I have to post it somewhere so please forgive me........Today is my birthday and I went garage saleing (sp?) with my daughter and I found a featherweight at one of them...... well I should say my SIL found it for me....I was looking at some old quilts when he called me to look at a sewing machine he found. When I turned and saw that little black case I told him not to let go !!!!! I am so happy to FINALLY get my fat little fingers on one of those I could bust a gut !!!!. So now where do I go to find out when she was born?

Happy birthday !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Don't forget to thread the needle opposite of a larger sewing machine. My sister has a feather weight machine, and we could not get it to sew, we took it in to a shop and right off the gentleman said, thread the needle the opposite way.... well we did that and it sewed great. Congradulations

Thanks for all the birthday wishes and links. I did manage to find that "Bernadette" was born June 10,1955
Soon as I get back home and get some stuff taken care of I'll be looking for a manual (since she came without one)and any tips or hints on how to clean her up.....and just where to get parts. I do have a question about the case though....did all FW's have the tray that could be lifted out ..or not? Mine doesn't (looks like there isn't enough room for one) Feel free to PM me with suggestions...they will be greatly appreciated.

Both of my boxes are different. One of mine is a 1950 and has the tray that is lifted out. The tray fits over the top of the machine and foot pedal. The tray holds all the attachments and oil etc...
Both boxes have a key also You can get a manual from the Singer site.......
