I went to both the local libraries and admired the quilts they had on display. Such talent and so beautiful! Checked out 3 quilting dvd's and 1 quilting book. I was happy to see that my library had all 4 volumes of Harriet Hargrave's 'Quilter's Academy" books and checked out the Freshman Year

I've had a fabulous Quilting Day that started off with a trip to my LQS. They were having a 20% off sale. I got king size batting and fabric for a quilt and for pillowcases to match a quilt I had just finished. I also left a king size quilt for the LAQ. Once home, I made a 1930s BOM, finished the embroidery on a Redwork block, and got everything ready to be stitched down on a hand appliqué block. Today was a fun day!

Wish I could have participated but at 71, worked as a cashier at Wal Mart and was exhausted by the time I got home.

Very happy and very productive, thank you! I got a bunch of friends and family together to quilt at the local library yesterday. It was wonderful.
