How sweet that little boys face looks. He's happy to be where he is. Your ss is happy about it too.
On a different note, you may find it sad that someone's treasure quilt that they made many years previous 'ends up' in a dog bed. However, I'm sure that dog doesn't feel sad about it. He/she learns to treasure it too, rubbing their face across it, claiming it for their very own. I prefer to look at it as 'another satisfied owner!'

I made a boat quilt for my grandson and about thirty years later he told me he still had it but he had to be careful when he pulled it up under his chin at night as he could hear the threads breaking! Now that's using it to the bitter end! Yes, he got a new one!

How wonderful! I made a baby quilt and diaper bag that ended up in a whelping bed then the trash. The cat gave birth in the diaper bag and it ended in the trash also. I put away my sewing machine after that until just recently. I was asked to make another baby quilt but when I told them how much they said they could go to Walmart and get one cheaper. I said good-bye. I decided I wasn't going to let that discourage me. I would rather give to those in need. So happy for you that it has been appreciated and obviously loved all these years.
