Happy Quilting Day to everyone here. Since I have had to stay inside to keep healthy I am working on a bow tie quilt with Christmas fabrics. I am just moving along and working on piano key border. It really is amazing what sewing can get done when I stay home!

I started to assemble a top. Then discovered that 11 of 49 blocks are wrong. No idea how I managed that. Due to the nature of this one (of the Slice and dice variety) the blocks cannot be repaired. Luckily I have enough fabric to make four new blocks. So now 6 rows of 7 blocks instead of 7 x 7. Just have to re-do my layout and hope to finish assembly today. Happy Quilting Day!

Happy Quilting Day to all. I'm working on putting the strips together on my OBW. Have discovered I like this step the least, so it's going slowly. The sewing isn't the worst, it's the pressing seams open after. Ugh. Oh well, press on as they say (insert smiley face here since my smileys aren't working for some reason).

I’m still working with that Sew Kind of Wonderful ruler. There are some real frustrations with it. I discovered when I cut, the ruler was shifting ever so slightly near one end. Then I must be stretching the pieces ever so slightly when sewing them because the one end isn’t even. The feather curves are the worst.

Same here! I assume you are referring to the latest mystery quilt. I have assembled the longest row and have to attach it to section above it. It's slow going with all the intersections that need to be matched.
