I've also talked to Amish women about this, and you are correct, it is not true. It must be really frustrating to have that hoax constantly perpetrated.

Well, I have to tell you that I don't see anything wrong with your appliqued piece. Granted I need new glasses and I'm developing cataracts, (my feeble attempt at humor) but it's beautiful. I don't think anyone else can see a flaw either. I'm a perfectionist myself, but there comes a time to just let it go. It's beautiful and I love your fabric.
