Smile Has anyone ever seen ...

Has anyone on here ever seen a wholecloth centre with pieced blocks surrounding it - am thinking about doing it and wondered if it would look ok - obviously it would be done as a QAYG,
I was thinking of using a very pale green background fabric throughout, and the centre would be quilted with a dark green (not traditional) I know, using flowers and birds, and the surrounding blocks would be needleturn applique flowers only, this would combine my most favourite of techniques.
    What does anyone think?????

I think it would be the same as using a panel in the center of a quilt. Crabapple Hill may have some patterns that have piecing around a solid embroidered center.

Yes, the same as using a center panel or medallion. Go for it!

I think it would be unusual and very pretty. After all, you'd be using your favorite things. It would be very personal and special for you. I'd love to see pictures.
