A friend of mine made a handkerchief quilt/wallhanging, like a memory quilt, but without pictures, and used handkerchiefs from her mom and grandmother. She cut squares (either 4 or 5 inch) from fabrics from their clothing (using the softer colors) and put a corner of the handkerchief over 1 corner of each square. She set the squares on point with the handkerchief corner at the bottom. It was quite attractive. I hope my description makes sense. I'll see if she can take a picture and send it to me to post. I think the fabric was mostly soft pink.

Haven't made one yet, but I'm collecting the hankies. I intend to use them on corners only, so I can get four blocks out of one hanky.

The woman who made that is on the board but I forgot her name :(
I love it too and could use up some of my vintage hankies that I collected and are in a box!
