Default Has anyone made a scrappy Jacob's ladder

I have been making scrappy four patches (2.5inch). At last count there were about 120 or so.All have the same white fabric in them. I have 2 yards of a green on white & 2 yards of a dark green fabric. I want to use these two fabrics for my HST's. Will this work or should my HST's be scrappy as well. Is this what is meant by controlled scrappy.

scrappy is whatever you want it to be... To strategically place specific colors IMHO is controlled.. I say take the plunge..

I made one scrappy with black as the background: http://www.quiltingboard.com/picture...d-t133646.html

I would make a few HST and place them with your 4P to see if you like it.

Search on "True Scrappy Jacobs Ladder" posted on 09-14-2011 by "IZY" in England. It's just beautiful!

It is your quilt, but I would add more different fabrics. I love looking at my scrappy quilts and not seeing a lot of repeats. Maybe swap some fabric with friends. I am making an Ocean Waves that has over a thousand hst. I love triangulations and that makes 20 - 40 of the same combo hst, so I got up a swap. It worked out great. I'm loving this quilt.
