I agree with those who said this is more than one font. I used to do a little graphic design and never saw one mixed up like this. You will need to choose upper and lower cases from different fonts you like and mix them. But I warn you, simple as this looks it's actually very hard to come up with something which manages to look so coherent out of such disparate letters.

I agree that it looks like a nancy halvorsen design.

Nana2sew is correct. From the book "I believe". According to the poster she shrunk the letters so the original project is apparently not a mug rug. But the letters are from the book.

I'm so glad you posted this because I'd like to try making a few too. I'll have to see if I have that book (I have a lot of NH books but haven't bought any for a while).

It's in the Art to Heart book called 'I Believe'.
Here is a link to the wallhanging pattern in the book, that very well could have been used for her mugrugs:

(I have the I Believe fabrics, so her mug rugs looked very familiar, so I googled merry christmas quilt. The links took me to this blog.)

The mug rug in question here is mine. My apologies for upsetting a couple of you with my Christmas greeting post. Had the post been about the mug rug, I certainly would have included more details.

The photos are all available to view. The details have always been with my original flickr post about the mug rug.
The letters are from Nancy Halverson's book, "I Believe". They are shrunk in size, fused with wonder under and raw edge appliqued.
Had one of you contacted me I would have happily shared any information you desired.
I respond to each and every one of my blog commenters personally with a reply email to them...just as most other bloggers do.
If anyone else would like any further info, I'm more than happy to share. All you need do is contact me.
    Annie

found a note on her blog, she gave credit to Nancy Halversen's book "I Believe" and said she shrunk the letters & bird to 25%
