I've made that bag - or one very similar. It's not difficult - best advice I can give is read all the directions first and then follow them one step at a time. Enjoy. I love mine.

I just finished a tote from this pattern. It's really an easy pattern to do especially if it is your first one. The quilting part is easy if you have a walking foot or diferential feed. Just be sure to attach the guide to the foot that lets you measure from your beginning set of stitches so that your quilting is equal distance. Just follow the instructions.

I've done several of these. Quite easy to follow, direction wise. I changed the length of my handles. Adjusted them for my long arms!! Also didn't put as wide of batting in the handles as it called for. I would suggest making one exactly like the pattern then changing what you wanted to on the fabric you really like!!

I have that exact purse packed and ready to take on vacation. The directions are clear and precise. My colors are turquoise/purple/black. It receives many comments. I love making bags and purses and have several. I have had individuals stop to ask where I purchased my purse in the past. Certainly beats Vera Bradley prices and you always carry one-of-a-kind. Once you've made one you'll be hooked so go for it!

Yes I made this bag. It isn't hard at all. I've made three of them. The tuck is just a pleat. Have fun with this bag.

I've made this bag and I love it... I agree with Karen.. read all the directions first and also, try and stay away from directional fabrics. (to much thinking)

I have the pattern and have made the purse and love it. Several in my frienship group also have made it. The only suggestion I have is decide how stiff you want it before you make it because I used the fusible pellon they recommend and mine is not stiff at all, some gals like theirs to "stand at attention", I wanted mine a little softer so the fusible pellon worked for me just fine. It is a fun purse to make. Enjoy.

That pattern does not look hard. I made my first purse in December for a Christmas present for my DD. It was fun to make and she loves it! Go for it and enjoy!
