I use large coursage pins and they work for me, however, I HAVE been thinking of buying the red snappers.
The modification to the leader is small - just a pocket to thread the inner rod into.
Just thought that I would put this out and see who might have used them. Who knows - someone might still respond that has used them!!

They look great! I am going to be setting up my HQ frame next week so have this topic on my brain. Seriously considering these. I know getting the quilt on the frame is probably not the most fun part of the process.

They look really neat.
I have no problem with pins except they take so long for me to do them. If I do pin it is usually only the backing. Unless I just machine baste the backing on the quilt leaders, layer it all, baste the top of the topper, and use a Quilttak for the base of the topper. www.quilttak.com
I know this sounds awkward but it is affordable.
Would want to try the red snappers and see if I could use them first. It looked like she needed to use more pressure than I have in my hands.
Anyone near Phoenix have them? If so please PM me.
thanks,
ali

I have them but I bought Clip n Seal before Renaee had them make them as Red Snappers. Long story short, I LOVE them!!! I've had mine for about 6 mos. Instead of taking 10-15 min to pin a quilt onto my zippered leaders, it takes maybe 5. And to unload the quit when I'm done with it takes 10 seconds. I did find that the flexable rods that come with them were a little hard for me to push the clamp onto so I just substituted a 5/16" dowel. But give the rods that come with it a try first. You may have more strength than me and it depends on how thick you leaders are also.

I have not tried them but the talk on the Statler Sisters forum say that is hard to keep the fabric straight. A very few people like them but the majority think they are not productive.... just stating what others have said.....
I think they are a bit pricey and what I have been doing is so easy and works I am not inclined to change.
