My hubby said he thinks this is permanent glue like you you use to put in a headliner of a car - I am not sure this is what you want.

The info on the spray says it can be used on fabric....but nothing about washable. Joann's always sold 3 brands around here, I am going to have to take my coupons and run to buy a couple!!

I use June Taylor Quilt Basting Spray almost exclusively.
    Here's a link at Joann's

A little goes a long way. You can reposition it, doesn't gum up my needle, and washes out.

It is only repositionable until it dries, then it's permanent.

My Jo'ann's hasn't had any spray baste for months, which is really okay, I am stocked up on Elmer's school glue.

On the can of 505 it says that it does not dissolve in water. So, that makes me leary of using it.

I've used a spray adhesive before from Joann's . It is by June Taylor. The other one I use is by studio. I got that one at Hobby Lobby. I have had no problems with either.

I use the Mettler Web Bond TA101. It works well and has very little to no smell.
