My DIL returned the quilt I made for them. The dog had torn the quilt and wanted me to repair it. OMG couldn't believe how far I have come. Almost too embarrassed to repair it and send it back. I've had it a year and I do have the fabric to replace.

I would say that is one well loved and used quilt. The "mistakes" weren't noticed or if they were, they didn't matter, they still loved it and still do!

My first quilt is now being used as a cover for my husband's dulcimer- and it's sitting right in the middle of the living room. Yes, I see my mistakes, but I can't stop it from being loved and used all the time. I learned long ago to stop fretting over the imperfections on it!

Great job for a first quilt, and 25 years later! Beautiful.

It shows that when something is loved they never see any of the mistakes we see, only the love you took the time to put into it for them. Fun quilt by the way!
