I have a full size dresden plate quilt top that I made way back in the mid 80's when I was married. At the time my ex was really into the country look . It has scrap fabrics from that era and a navy blue sashing and muslin as a background. I need a full quilt for my bed and realized its too dark for my room now and not at all what I want in my room. Now I am debating what to do with it.

I have an embroidered vintage coverlet that I may just make into a heavier quilt top. Just need to work it out since it has the part that folds back over the pillows.

I did, and I sold it to a friend who loved it!

I have a quilt that I pieced years ago and just tried to machine quilt it. I have now given up on it because I did a terrible job with it. In fact I just used every decorative stich I had on different parts of the quilt. I just don't care any more! On to something else!

When I was in a similar situation, I sent it to the church for sandwiching and quilting, I bound it and then it was sold at the church bazaar. Missions got $350 and I got a UFO that no longer matched my decor out of the house.

If you can't part with it, finish it and make it an extra blanket.

Maybe you can get something for it on eBay. Then you'll have money to buy fabric you do like.

Take a picture of it and post here on the board in the classified section. Lots of us here love the vintage fabrics and older quilts.

I have an embroidered block quilt that is all put together and hand quilted, it just needs binding. It's been laying here lookin' at me since about 1978. Sigh.

Absolutely. Sold some, donated some, gifted some. My tastes change often. It's okay not to like something and get rid of it.

    I did,
I gave the unfinished top & all the pieces to the Goodwill and never thought about it until right now.
Now that I'm on this board I would offer a UFO I didn't like to someone in a trade; there's always someone that'll like what you don't.
