... Just wondering if anyone has ever bought fabric through the Amazon.com website rather than directly from an online store...

I've looked. I would have no problem buying fabric through them. I've bought everything else.

I have purchased fabric from Amazon several times and have been happy with what I got. I have gotten some real good deals from amazon that saved me some money.

Amazon uses fabric.com for their retailer for fabric. I have had no problems with them.

Never bought fabric but have purchased notions thru them. Only problem I had...ordered Organ 90/14 needles for my Brother machine...was shipped Beissel. haven't tried them yet...hope my machine likes them. It doesn't like Schmetz needles.

I've bought several pre-cuts from various stores through amazon.com. I've always been pleased with what I received. And it earns me triple points on my card!
