Yep I took half an inch of the top of my left index finger not so long ago .I have since bought a Klutze glove and I am very wary when cutting now. Be careful everyone

Sure did. That left index finger is the proud owner of the only stitches I have ever had. Nice tiny little white line reminds me to be careful every time I use my rotary cutter. I even drove myself to the emergency room to get the stitches.

I cut my left pointy finger TWICE and then I bought one of those F&P gloves to prevent cuts AND I bought a "handle" for my ruler-- no more cuts for me!!

    Take care!

To remove small blood stains, saliva, something you always have with you will work. A mother 's hint from too many finger pricks while working on white dresses.

My DGS was visiting and sleeps in my sewing area. At 12 I thought he was safe since he has never showed interest in my sewing things. I had left my rotary cutter on a table, locked but there. He decided to see how many pages of a coloring book he could cut at one time. He didn't tell me for a half hour about the cut and was unable to control the bleeding. Well a trip to the ER
fixed the finger that was cut to the nail and left GM with a guilt
trip forever. I did learn my lesson. Nothing stays in the area where the GC play, sleep or watch TV. Lessons learned.

Glad you were ok. I did something really stupid. I wanted to see if you could cut yourself when it was closed. You can.

Yes, I have done it and definitely do not recommend it to any of you. Hurts like the dickens and takes a while to heal!
