Same thing, but different. I recently wanted to change the computer that runs my embroidery machine, but couldn't find the disc that came with it. I searched everywhere, even contacted the company that made the machine. While I was searching, I wished there was a way to attach the disc to the machine so this wouldn't happen. I did eventually find the disc and was able to make the change.

You probably put your machine foot somewhere logical; you will find it eventually.

You are all so funny! I have found my keys in the kitchen trash and the freezer in the past. (Why do so many things wind up in the freezer?) And I rescued my wedding ring from the OUTSIDE trash once. A place for everything and everything in its place, but your brain has to remember where that place is in order to find anything, and that's the problem.

I had trouble trying to figure out where I had left a foot once, so since it had metal on it, I got a magnet and tied a piece of scrap to it. It had slipped under my machine. I keep this magnet around. It's a pretty strong one. Works for me!

Ask the grandkids. My granddaughters love to mess around in my sewing room. When I miss something, it's usually because the 3 year old has carried it off. I check her doll beds and barbie cases. That's where I find a lot of my things. When I ask her, she usually can tell me right where it is. Lol.

I have lost feet before too. It is maddening to look and know it was right there! I lost a janome walking foot inside a book case once and found it a year later when I was moving the sewing room to a larger front bedroom. Luckily that foot wasn't too much to buy a new one.

I have lost many things in the sewing room even though I am very organized. My suggestion is to buy a plastic box with dividers in it for bead work. I did that for one machine I had and each foot had it's own slot to store it. I even labeled the sections inside the container so I knew where each one goes. No, I am not some sort of neat nut, I lose things easily and HAVE to be careful.

I have two standing foot cases that came with my bernina's that hang up the feet for each machine. I love those holders! It has a clear front and you can see every foot. I keep it by my machine so it is handy to change out the feet easily.

p.s.) I put a plastic sleeve inside the three ring binder I got with the bernina's and place the main computer program and master embroidery disk inside the instruction binder. That way it is all together. If yours isn't a three ring, you could tape one to the inside cover page to keep it handy.

It may be with a rotary cutter I lost many years back. I still feel like it might turn up someday. I call "that" place the "land of the lost".

My new Brother is the type that the top opens up to thread it etc and I foun its the perfect place to put my 1/4" foot when I'm using the zig zag foot. Plus my furry helper cant knock it off the machine.

The foot and the cutter are having a fling with my very favorite, sharp seam ripper. When you find your stuff, send that ripper home to me!

"Borrowers" like to sew too! If anyone remembers that book from childhood, it was one of my favorites. They have acquired several of my things, even down to the magazine with one of my favorite patterns.
