Default Have you ever had this problem with PIGs?

While organizing my UFOs and PIGs today and updating my list, I realized that there is sometimes a problem with thinking your are going to make something and waiting awhile to get started on it. First, I had a couple that had fabrics together but no pattern. I'm sure I had something in mind, but...2) some of the fabrics have been around for so long I a) don't care for the fabrics anymore, or b) don't want to make the pattern anymore. I think the next thing on my list is to go through all the PIGs, decide if I am going to make them, and then sell or give away fabrics/patterns here on the Board. I think that will make me feel a lot more caught up!

If you put the fabric back then it is just stash and you have no pressure to complete a project -just the potential of a new dream.

There are several things that I bought fabric intending to make one pattern and then used it for something else. And yes, I have found fabric in my stash that I wondered why in the world I ever bought it!

Happens a lot, to all of us. Separate the fabric out and put it back in your stash. If there is enough it might be a nice backing. Down the road I've always found a use for that fabric and it was very handy to have it available. BUT if you really don't like it, then give/trade it with a quilting friend.

What? Fabric that you don't like? Can that happen?

I totally understand your situation. I think that's why I procrastinated so long on some of my UFOs. Once they were started there wasn't much I could do but finish them. But, if I hadn't cut into the fabric, I'd add it to my stash. If there is something really ugly that you don't want anymore..... well, whatever you decide to do with it is okay.

Not liking a fabric sound like a good reason to buy some more...

Ok-dumb question... What are you referring to as PIGs? I know what (unfinished objects) are and (WIPs. Work in progress)but have never seen PIGs before & can't seem to get my mind around it

PIGS - projects in grocery sacks. I say it's fabric with a pattern, but nothing has been started.
