    i have clients that come because they've seen a work of mine and want one.

    i usually work up a variation on it so that its a unique work and they don't have the same piece as their friend.

    I have several patterns that I have used many times. But... the fabric is different and so it does not look like the same quilt!

    I haven't made the same quilt twice but that's only because I had others in mind. I'm working on a crumb quilt and they are addictive I'm sure they'll be more. Planning a rag quilt and looking forward to making more than one.

    Same here with the exception of patterns I can use for different designs (i.e. dresden plate, sunbonnet sue, drunkards path, etc)

    @KAS-
    Both DWR's are lovely - and that little girl is adorable.

    I have made the same quilt twice. Once I made a quilt for my niece. I liked it so much, and had so much fabric left over that I made a second one for myself. When I design an original quilt I also make it a second time in a totally different color way.

    I like to try different patterns all the time. I did make a big bargelo and two little ones that were different fabrics.

    I do once in a while when I'm making them for the grandsons' boxes (for them to have when they marry, graduate, whatever). A lot of times I will make 2 identical. It's not bad if you do both at the same time. I can't make a complicated pattern more than once usually.

    A couple of times I have made an item twice. Usually it's one for me and one for my daughter.

    I make the same one over and over. Using different fabric prints or colors make them all look different. I don't mind as it allows me to master the quilt.
