Mine doesn't sit on my lap. they sit beside my machine. I have one of those table extensions so they still keep their distance a little bit. Your cats are beautiful.

Not on my lap. My cat wants to be on top of project I am sewing on. Talk about hard to sew. Your cats are adorable, and just want to be the center of attention.

Not a cat but a sewing buddy-toy poodle.

i can't think of anything i haven't done with a cat or a dog on or plastered against me. one cat was crazy about going for rides in the car. we often had to go through a tunnel, and he could tell from 2 miles away. he would dig his claws into my shoulders and his head on my head, would yowl bloody murder until we were through. sewing is a family affair. simon, cat, sits either on wip or cutting board. tiger, cat, lies on the back of my chair, kitten, dog, sits on my foot or sleeps between me and the iron. monkey, dog, guards the door so we aren't interrupted. the door is like 4 feet away, so as usual, i am covered in fur of the best kind--live. :). i haven't gone to the bathroom alone since hi school. even baths have observers, dishes i get help, see what i mean? i'm sure others have the same life story. and it's good! just to answer the original question, i did try to sew with a cat but i couldn't get it through the eye of the needle. oh, well...

I've played piano with a 20+ pound pug crawling over me on the bench but that's about it. I love the pictures of cats. I miss having one ( hubby is allergic).

My kids are always either picking thread or cat hair off of me. I guess its true. An outfit or a quilt just aren't complete without them. LOL

I have that problem when trying to sew and Misty puts her paws under the needle or if I am at the computer she to learn how to type. I see you babies love to sit high on your chest too. Misty puts her face close to mine until I have to move her down to my lap.
