I just looked at the kit builder feature that Connecting Threads has. You can take certain patterns, change the fabrics, then it builds the kit for you. Does all the figuring for you. Really neat and it is free. You can play around with different fabrics and save your choices.

I saw that yesterday. Looks fun. I didn't spend too much time with it as I was spending $$. That place is like eating peanuts; too hard to stop.

I love it! I've already 'built' two, just need the funds! It's a great feature

Wow. I never buy kits myself, but that is a very smart tool to put on a website.

It basically works like the EQ replace fabric/color tool. Only drawback is you have to stay within a "group" of fabrics. But I think most people buying kits like the uniformity of the fabrics.

But, again, that's a great way for them to sell more kits. The customer thinks they're getting a "custom" selection. And since CT has a limited number of fabrics, most of their own making (?), they can satisfy all requests.

I like when sites add a feature that is actually helpful, rather than just useless stuff cluttering up and flashing on the screen.

    Very impressive.

I really like the "Color Matcher" that eQuilter (and some other sites) introduced a few months back. Now, that really has come in handy. It's not foolproof, but since their site is so massive, it's very helpful in narrowing down the possibilities.

I briefly checked it out and it looks like a great concept!
After Christmas I'm going to get serious with it :D:D
