i did paper pieced ones. about half of the recipients didn't keep them after the season. i just saw my DD last week and she still has one from several years ago, how nice to see.

I made a birthday postcard for a cousin of candles next to each other with a flame atop each. Would work as Christmas and so would stars with rays of gold coming from each. Boxes with bows. Easy designs.

yes in the past I purchased blank cards at Staple with an opening on the front. Then I emb Christmas Designs and pasted them inside the card. that way I could write my own greeting. Liked doing it and only made about 10 for special people. Like hobbykat 1955 said people don't realize the work that goes into them. But I enjoyed it anyway

I was on a quilted postcard kick for a while. They were fun to make. Guess I wouldn't make too many for Christmas - just to immediate family? What will people do with them after the holidays are over? Put them away for display next year? They required two stamps to mail, BTW.

Depending the Size of the Card - if it was Smaller say about 3 to 4 inches Square/round/diamond shape, you could put a Ribbon loop on top and they could use it as an ornament for their Tree...Send in an Envelope
