If I'm reading all your posts correctly, it seems that those defending the paid tutorials are saying that they are more like classes and far more informative and in depth than the general tutorials that Missouri Star offered for free for so long, is that right? If so, my only question is, why did she take the free ones down then? Why not leave those up for the ones who enjoyed them for what they were and let those who needed/wanted more in depth information pay for the lessons? Just a thought.
I too believe different strokes for different folks. No right or wrong here, just what works for you. Also, I happen to love Missouri Star Quilt Co. and often do business with them. They're a great bunch!

You can go directly to the site to view the tutorials and there is no fee.
I wrote to Missouri Star to see if your email was a come-on or not.
I'll post what I find out.

Sorry, but this is not "come on" like we have just said, it is an in-depth course, and many different classes available to learn at your own time and can take them as many times as you want. Utube is just quick lessons or information, not at all like the ones Jenny is doing now.

I do not have a local quilt store near so I signed up for the classes and, as a new quilter, loved them. They were well worth the $29. to me. I so enjoyed the instruction that I went through most of the lessons the day I signed up. I have gone back several times to look at lessons again. I did not feel that she was trying to sell her products. I made a notebook of printouts that came with the lessons. Again, for me, it was money well spent. If you are an experienced quilter, you do not need the lessons.

I did pay to watch the first Quilting Quickly course. I loved it! She does cover a little what her You Tube tutorials did, but in more detail. I thought it was very worth my money! However, the new Quilting Quickly II course went up in price.
I really learned a lot from it and you can go back and watch it as many time as you need to. I agree it is mostly for beginning quilters....which I am!
I highly recommend it to all beginning quilters!!
Go for it!
