Have you used bamboo batting in your quilts?

it feels gorgeous - warm and soft, but I found it shed very badly when I used it for machine quilting. My quilt had a dark backing and by the time I finished it, it was covered in fluff from the batting. Don't think I'll use it again.

I got a whole roll of it for my Tin Lizzie machine and I find that although it is very soft and light, it is very linty and dusty. It leaves an awful mess on the floor and quiltbed. I also found that it stretchs fiercely. Even though I like the feel of it, I will go back to the cotton brands when this is used up.

ive used the bamboo batt from the dream company- it was very nice to work with- and 4 years later the quilt is holding up wonderfully- through a washer/dryer many times-
i had picked it up just to try it- used it on a (picnic/beach) quilt-lots of wear & tear...i had no (pilling) problems---a problem with it migrating out of the needle holes could just be from the thread being used being a heavier weight thread- (just a guess- i didn't have the problem- i use 60 wt thread normally for hand quilting/needle to match-
all (manufactured batts) go through quite the process- just the nature of manufacturing-

I am doing the border on a king size quilt that has bamboo batting. While I really like it, I don't think the different in price is worth it. I have always used Hobbs 80/20 and will still go back to it. Have not had any problems with the bamboo though.

Thank you very much everyone for your input about the bamboo batting, I think what I shall do is make a test sample both of hand quilting and machine quilting and see how I feel about it then, I have no manufactures instructions to go by either so a test would probably be the best thing to do I feel, having read all your posts.
