Default Have you used the PAL (Perfect Alignment Laser) as a seam guide??

I see Craftsy has the PAL on sale for $34.99. It's mostly sold as a cross hair laser to center embroidery, which I don't do. I was interested in whether or not it would work well as a seam guide for the sewing machine. Has anyone used it that way? Does it work or is it too much trouble?

I just use blue painters tape to help me guide my accurate 1/4" seam allowance.

Well, I use a 1/4" foot. Anything I tape on has to come off whenever I change my bobbin. So I would have to re-measure and test it again every time. I am envious of the Brother and Baby Lock machines which have the laser lights. So I was looking for something to give me that accuracy.
