Have you/would you use this baby quilt kit?

I just went to the website of the company that makes this kit. I read some reviews about their kits and most were not favorable but they do have a list of free projects/patterns and some of them look pretty cute. They are PDF files and this one is cute and looks even cuter on the PDF file where you see a much better picture of it.

Yes, I certainly will be looking for some great fabrics but I'm just so anxious to get started and we're 45 min from the closest fabric shopping and won't be heading in that direction till sometime over the weekend. At least I have this to pacify my in the meantime. It would just sit in the drawer forever any how so I may as well get to it.

The blue and green fabrics are 100% cotton. I got some FQ bundles and jelly rolls from Joann's a couple of years ago with those fabrics in them and have made 2 quilts using them. No problems found with them.

It's quite likely that the fabrics have sizing in them. I'd make the quilt according to the pattern, then wash it. If after washing you still don't like the way the fabrics feel, you can always donate it. But I suspect the sizing or whatever finish that's on the fabric will wash out and you will like it.

Thank every one of you. This board is the GREATEST. So many ideas and you have all convinced me to just DO IT...what have I got to loose. I plan on starting it tomorrow. I promise I'll post a picture when it's done and will let you know which direction the finished product will go...ha ha.
