For those of you that are having trouble with the Lil Twister tool I found this tutorial - scroll down to see. Hope it answers some questions you may have.

There's a tool? I was given the instructions on a bookmark-size piece of paper at a quilt show and they just used a regular 3.5" ruler with lines drawn on it to line up with the seams. Seems cheaper than buying a tool :)

If you're having trouble with the Lil' Twister it's easier to just avoid it altogether. I developed a pattern in 2008. It works fine, no matter what size you make your blocks. I'll post pages on another update.
