    I'd love to leave my feed dogs up but my machine won't let me. Once I set it up for it (press the button to slightly raise the presser foot) my machine won't budge till I put the feet down.
    I've given up and haven't tried for about a year. Maybe I'll give it another try.

    You will, honest it is so much easier with the feed dogs up, you have better control.
