Heart quilt block

I agree with using an odd number of hearts inside, positioned on the left swoop, and maybe use one resting in the center crevice outside on top - that would be odd, too, as it is '1' outside the outline.

The left bottom side is narrower then the right. I did a hot pink yoyo and I don't think it goes (center of heart) and I did a pale pink heart between the others. I think it looks better? Now should I leave them on the right or move them over to the left side to hide the narrowing?

I really do like your final arrangement. The "rule" of using odd numbers works so well in almost all circumstances -- particularly well here.
Unless there is a specific reason for placing them elsewhere, I always try to use an accent on the left side of a project. When we read in English, we always start at the left and go toward the right. Think about all the great masters of painting, etc. There is almost always an emphasis on the left side.
Your finished heart has a definite charm to it.
