Just your regular circle yoyo.... and then make a stitch evenly around it to pull it in like a flower.

OMGoodness Thimblebug6000 in reference to post #17 your wall hanging is GORGEOUS! How very creative of you, it's simply stunning in your use of the yo yo makers! Did you put pearl beads in the center of the cherry or apple blossoms, can't quite tell which? Either way I love this wall hanging!

Suern3 in reference to your question about the flowers on the branch, (Post #19) Clover also makes a flower maker that makes the five petal blossom flowers that look very much like the ones on the branch. I'm not sure how thimblebug made her's but I've made the five petal ones with the Clover Flower maker.

I'm not sure a link will work but I have the tiny and the large it's called the Kanzashi Flower Maker Orchid. I know JAF here carries them and I think I bought them there or Amazon.

I'm so glad Tartan put up a picture. Go for it Lynnie! I just don't have patience for those small little pieces. That's why after a hundred years quilting I am still a beginner! Can't wait to see the heart project.

I have the heart yo-yo maker by Clover (and all of the others, to). It only makes one size of hearts ,so far. they are about 1& 1/2" by 1& 1/2 ''. It makes making them so much faster. I ,too just asked my sister yesterday the same question as you.How would you make larger ones with out the Clover forms. I make them and sew pin backs on the back and make fabric jewelry out of them.

And so today I brought my wall hanging out to actually look at it... and the Clover yoyo makers.... I'm sorry.... I said before I just did the circles and stitched the thread around to pull them up..... (that is what I used to do) but apparently I used the specialty shaped ones on this project. I went to a retreat and we were asked to purchase all the yoyo makers to make a wall hanging..... it was a bust... my friend and I were the only ones who did it... and the instructor didn't have the complete project.... I finished mine as seen..... my friend threw hers out. The big green leaves and the brown tree branch are felted wool.. the only beads used were the teardrops on the bleeding hearts.
