This is a beautiful quilt made extra special by the use of repro fabrics. It will be lovely! I'm an appliquér and, based on what pics are shown in the link, these are really nice and simple applique pieces for a beginner to attempt. No major angles or complicated points....and large enough pieces to easily handle. You should have no problem with these.. Not sure which applique technique you intend on trying but any of the techniques will work easily. Just take your time.. Good for you in stretching your skills. Please share your results when done... I'm excited to see it...

Teen, I couldn't wait until tomorrow so I'm working on it today. I'm not sure if this technique has a name or not but what I decided to do was use Ricky Tim's stable stuff (a paper-like stabilizer you can put in the printer) to print off the templates for the applique. Then I plan to use Sharon's method of folding the allowances around the templates and gluing them in place. Then I'll use an invisible machine stitch technique to attach the pieces to the background material. As I said earlier, I've never done applique before. Today I'm merely printing out the templates and am cutting the fabric pieces. It's fun! And relaxing too, something I'm a little surprised by.
