Question Heat Press Batting Together vs HeatNBond Ultra Hold Iron On Adhesive

I want to glue/fuse two 100% twin cotton mattress pads (store bought) to make a king pad.
Is the heat bond just as good OR should I use only the heat press for mattress pads?
100% king cotton mattress pads cost $110 today, and these are fairly old but in good condition.
Thanks for all replies in advance.

regular heat & bond is very stiff- the heat & bond lite is more (pliable) but will wash away when the quilt is laundered. why not just butt the 2 edges together and do a wide zigzag to hold them together? *easy and much less expensive*

I don't think any fusible is going to hold up. I would also stitch it

I recommend stitching as well. The heat from a dryer will not hold this over repeated washings and drying. You can butt the edges and do a wide zig zag as others have mentioned. I would stitch it a few times with the widest zig zag.

I agree that zigzagging the edges is the way to go.
