On this site, they call them finger protectors. The are stiff, not soft and I believe come in different sizes (which is why there are three different colors, I guess).

Hey my phone can't spell worth a flip sometimes! And my friends auto correct pulled a fast one on her this morning. She was texting something to her mom and it changed "mamacita" to "manacles"! Got lots of fun puns out of that one!!!!
