Default Heavy muslin for photo printing?

Any ideas for a muslin that is compatible with photo printing?

I would stay away from muslin because of the nubbies (is that a word?) that are in the weave of the fabric. You might end up with one on Great Aunt Mary's nose! I think a better choice would be a kona cotton or something like it.

You don't want a heavy muslin. You want a high thread count muslin. The Kona I've had doesn't have a really fine weave. I've ordered high thread count muslin from thousandsofbolt and been very happy with the fineness of the weave.

You are right about the thread count of Kona. I had forgot about that part of photo transfer. It has been a few years since I did any photo transfer. I think that they recommended a white because the you would have a clearer end product. Should just google photo transfer for instructions.

What you want is a PFD fabric. (Prepared for Dyeing) You can find it here.

What I have used in the past and found it worked very well was a 200 count muslin.
