I say if you can afford them get them. They make the quilting fun when you use the right ruler. You know "the right tool for the job." They are expensive, but I use Joanns 50% coupons to purchase them.

I do. Will you? Who knows, but you will learn as you go, what works for you.

Welcome from N. Texas. Yes, you need all kinds of rulers, from the straight ones to the specialty ones. I've got one for making Dresden plate blades and one for finishing the binding--so many different ones that it takes three special ruler holders to hold them all. But I didn't get them all at once. They just proliferated over the years.

Welcome! I grew up and went to school in El Paso and miss it.

Rulers! Can't have too many. There is always a new one that is better coming out and one just right for a certain project. They really make a difference.

    Happy Quilting!

Yup! Gotta have 'em! Some are used more than others, but they sure make the job easier!

Which flying geese ruler are you using? I have been looking for one, but have not found one that I like yet. Thanks! :)

redmadder, Did you see the one seam flying geese unit that was on here last week? I think it was Ricky Tims that did it.
