Hi and welcome to the board, love your crazy quilt patch block, and you don't need to excuse the embroidery-it looks great! The block in your original posts looks to me like some of them have raw edges, some not?! Very pretty though, agree with nanna-up-north, unless it were to be a wall hanging, I'd be worried about being able to wash it.

I went to a local bookstore and found a book on quilting/mix textiles. Seems this is exactly what it looks like......no rules...just creativity . The author used a muslin block foundation and glued her pieces on with a glue stick just to set a placement that she liked. Then she darned the edges of the pieces with her machine. So I guess it comes down to what ever looks pleasing to your eye. I'll give this a try. Thank you
