When 4 seams meet I always get a thick wad of fabric and looks like a lump on the right side. How can I make it lie flat? Thanks in advance for any help you can share.

Are you pressing your seams open? I have found that helps eliminate some of the bulkiness when 4 or more seams meet.

Press the seams open and put a couple drops of water in the bulkier area of the seam, front and back, and then press. :D:D:D

That is how I learned to do mine. It does make them lay very flat.
