I have a friend expecting first baby girl in early December. My husband and I want to make them a baby quilt (will also add a couple burp cloths?!?)! The nursery colors are chocolate and pink (not pale pink-just pink!). I have been trying to decide on a patten for about 2 months and am still undecided. It does not have to be super simple as I am up to a challenge although I am not ready for paper piecing, applique or anything too very complicated! Does anyone have any suggestions? I want it to look more pretty, than cute!!?!

I did one with circles in pink, brown and green. It was very easy! Here's the link:

Other options, log cabin would be pretty, pinwheels, D9P, etc. You have many choices!

Here are some pics to inspire you!

How about a quick D9P in baby prints with solid pink bordered in brown? Would be so darling!

Monkeys are real popular right now for boys and girls. What about a big ole brown monkey on some pink!
