Hi Ladies! It has been awhile and that is because I have been busy working on a followup book called More Twist and Turn Bargello Quilts - ---- By Request! The most frequently requested quilt was Island Sunset in Queen Size and I have done it. I tried quite a few ways of enlarging it - most of which have been suggested here by others. None of them pleased me too well. So I did a total redesign using strips cut at 2 1/2". I believe most of my designs are more effective in the size they were created - mostly smaller. Except for the ones I designed to be large. My quilting buds all tell me that they like my large Sunset and I did my best to make it great. I actually did it in a colourwash of fabrics just to add to the charm of it. That was the good news. The bad news is that this second book is not due to be released until July 2013. I truly hope you will wait for it.

I am thrilled that you are still creating my designs and I am always happy to help in any way that I can.

    Eileen:
Thank you for your response. I read it and went and packed up the bargello strips and book...I will wait until the new book comes out. Hopefully, I will be able to selvage what I started, but, if not, then I'll find a different project for the few strips I had already cut. Waiting in anticipation for your new book.

Just want to thank you again Eileen you have been such a big help. I will pick up my fabric and wait till your book comes out for the queen size. I will do one just now out of the Twist & Turn book that I have so I can practice before doing the queen.
Want everyone to know that this board is just great and imagine you even get to talk to the author of the book I would never have imagined that would happen. All you ladies are so helpful & I am always learning things from you so thanks to all of you also.

What size are the quilts made from the first book? I was looking on Amazon for books and I am looking to make a quilt for Full--double size bed. I don't want to get a book that has small patterns. Which book would you suggest for a beginner of Bargellos? I have wanted to make them , but I think the color choices are what scares me.
