I am making a name tag for my Quilt Guild. It is a log cabin pattern that is about 4" x 3.5". I am having a heck of a time getting the binding to meet and look smooth. I have no problem with bigger projects but this one has me frustrated. I am supposed to have it done by Tuesday. Thanks for all your help in advance. I should be working on it now but cannot get away from all the good information on this board!

On something that small, I think it would be much better to use the backing as a self-binding. http://www.how-to-quilt.com/articles...-binding.shtml

It's very difficult on a piece that small to put a regular binding with mitered corners on it.

Thanks so much, this is the technique I used but was making it harder than it should have been because the block was so small. I did it and it look wonderful. I printed out the instructions. Great Site. Thanks
