    I agree cornerstones will help "cover " the shortage , and you can make it looked planned :wink:

    Maybe I'm not understanding. Could you put your border on the long sides first then the short sides? Could you also incorporate some of the fabrics in the quilt into the border at regular or irregular intervals. Might make for a much more interesting border. Necessity is the mother of invention. Let us know what you do --show us!

    I was putting the border on the long side first - but border fabric is not quite long enough - hence the problem.

    Thank you everyone for your input and suggestions - they have been a big help to deciding what solution to use. This board is amazing.

    I've never tried posting a picture before but will try to figure it out and post one.
