    Brother is right!!!!!

I'm trying to help my SIL with her machine... cleaned and oiled it; followed the directions in the booklet EXACTLY! (as mediocre as they are!) but the top thread will NOT pick up the bobbin thread. I've checked needles; the correct direction of the bobbin thread and top thread; all sorts of combos of stitch length, needle position, presser foot up and down, etc.... HELP!

I'm assuming the 3 clear plastic bobbins that are here are for this Brother. I did find 3 that were thinner and labeled Singer, (UGH!) but I'm using the "other" ones.

I did a search on here for Brothers, but this VX-1120 is not specifically listed. Did get a ph. no. however.

Thanks in advance for any help out there.
    Frustrated Frog!

Check that the flat shank on the needle is in the right direction and that you thread the needle eye correctly. I have a Brother that threads from right to left and will not work otherwise but my other Brother threads left to right. I always get them mixed up so I put an arrow going the right direction on the front.
