help? cheap thread??

Be careful of cheap thread...it can be brittle and break, especially if it is not 3 ply long staple thread. It can also be lint-y and make the inside of your machine a mess. Remember that adage: You get what you pay for! If you make a beautiful quilt but it pulls apart at the seams later, you'll hate yourself for not buying good thread. Why scrimp on thread when you have already spent a lot on fabric? Another adage: A chain is only as strong as its weakest link (i.e. the thread!).

i have been using Guitterman and had decent results with it. just tried connecting threads stuff today and really like it. actually think it looks better than the guitterman. has a nice finish, is 100% cotton and 1200 yd spool is very very nice.

I am also a Connecting Threads lover. In fact, I've got an order in my shopping cart right now.. I keep thinking that they'll offer some kind of a sale so I wait and wait... I am going to break down and order today or tomorrow though... There is some fabric in there for a friend - we all pitched in together to get the free shipping ;)
